Privacy Policy.
How we collect, use, and protect your personal information.
Last updated: June 2026.
Plain-language summary
This campaign collects only what we need to do the work: contact you, keep you informed about the launch event, coordinate volunteer shifts, or send you a lawn sign. We do not sell your information. We do not share it with anyone outside the campaign except the specific service providers listed below. You can ask us to delete it at any time.
Who we are
This site is operated by the Campaign for Arthur Amadi for Ward 2 Councillor in the 2026 Town of Milton municipal election. The campaign is registered with the Town of Milton and abides by the Ontario Municipal Elections Act (MEA) and Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA — Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act).
What we collect
When you fill out a form on this site, we collect only the information you give us:
- Launch invite (email capture): your email address, used solely to send you event details and campaign updates.
- Volunteer form: first name, last name, email, phone number, postal code, ward, interest areas, time availability, and any notes you choose to share.
- Resident feedback form: first name, last name, email, phone, postal code, topic, and your message.
- Email if you reply to us: the contents of any messages you send to arthurinmilton@gmail.com.
- Server-level access logs: standard web server logs (IP address, browser, page accessed, timestamp) collected by our hosting provider for security and performance.
We use Plausible Analytics — a privacy-friendly, cookieless tool that measures aggregate site traffic (such as page views, referrers, and country) without cookies, without collecting personal information, and without tracking you across other websites. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not sell or rent your information to anyone.
What we use it for
- Sending you details about The Glory of Milton launch event and future campaign updates.
- Coordinating volunteer shifts, training sessions, and campaign events.
- Delivering and replacing your lawn sign.
- Responding to your feedback and messages.
- Compliance reporting under the Ontario Municipal Elections Act.
Donations
Contributions are made by Interac e-Transfer directly to the campaign. When you contribute, you provide your name and mailing address (in the e-Transfer message or on request) so the campaign can issue receipts, keep donor records, and meet Ontario Municipal Elections Act compliance reporting (donor name, address, and contribution amount).
Under the Ontario Municipal Elections Act, the names and addresses of donors who contribute more than $100 to a municipal candidate must be publicly disclosed. By donating more than $100, you consent to this public disclosure as required by Ontario law. Maximum individual contribution is $1,200. Corporations and unions are not permitted to donate to municipal campaigns in Ontario.

We keep volunteer and contact information for the duration of the 2026 campaign and for the period required for post-campaign financial and compliance reporting under the Ontario Municipal Elections Act. After that, we delete it unless you have asked to remain on a future contact list.
Donation records are retained as required by Ontario law.
